City of Chesterfield – Administration and Maintenance Facility

Chesterfield, Missouri

Designed to handle the maintenance, storage and administrative needs of a 245 acre athletic development, the building is laid out in three distinct use areas, Administration Area, Public/Assembly Area and Maintenance Area. The spatial requirements of these areas require physical separation forming the floor plan. This along with the building massing and roof treatments of the three distinct areas the three volumes articulate the exterior design of the building.

Due to the size of the building and the diminutive nature of the adjacent buildings, consideration was given to the exterior walls, roof treatments and building masses to create a pedestrian friendly scale and to avoid a single large mass or repetitious structure.
